A story of a beginning..

Instead of only facing my Facebook almost all the time, I've decided to revive once a buried blog back to my life.. Because It sorta reminds me part of a chapter of life gone away entirely without me myself even realize how much I have been missing.. This will be my monthly, weekly, or even daily routine to finally get back on track in the sense of a memorable diary.. Because I know, by this way.. I can finally express my journey of life without losing out any important event took place.. Photos, updates, and also post to show somebody how change I am.. Most of the time, it will be crappy, but it comes solely straight from my heart.. So it's pure..:D

Chicken Cordon Bleu

This simple yet cheesy classic of chicken meat filled and rolled with Ham, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese, then coated with breadcrumbs and to the deep fryer is simply easy to make even for newbies who wanted to try to cook it at home. All you need is a basic kitchen essential tools and some little trick to roll the chicken meat intact together with its ingredients..=) Here are the things you need to get;

Ingredients:

  • Chicken Thigh - 5 pieces of De-boned thighs and cut open into a butterfly shape..
  • Turkey Ham/Chicken - 5 slices
  • Cheddar Cheese- 5 slices
  • Mozzarella Cheese - as needed (to be exact - 10gms for each chicken thigh)
  • Multi-purpose Flour - to coat the chicken
  • Egg - 3 no's
  • Breadcrumbs - to coat the chicken
  • Salt - as needed
  • White pepper - as needed
  • Paprika powder - as needed, optional
  • Cooking oil - for deep fry
Tools:
  • Cooking strings - to help sealed the chicken thigh you can get this in the cutlery section in supermarkets..
  • Satay sticks or Skewer - to help sealed the rolled chicken thigh
Steps:
  1. If you are planning to get a chicken thigh with the bones still intact, de-boned the chicken off its meat and slice cut open into a butterfly shape.(Note: butterfly shape is a cutting method which opens up a meat to enlarge and have a wider range area of meat.) Otherwise, just get the butcher to opens it up or just buy as it is in the market.. Marinate the chicken with salt and pepper, paprika is optional..
  2. Now, take a slice of the Turkey Ham or whichever it is and lay onto the chicken meat, the chicken thigh skin will be on the bottom and the meat facing up.. Lay the cheddar cheese on the ham and followed by a small amount of mozzarella. Rolled the chicken with its content inside..
  3. Okay, this part is tricky.. To be able to roll a perfect piece of meat, you have to make sure the ham and cheese are not visible after you rolled up everything, otherwise when taken to be deep fried, the content of cheese will be flown out and you messed your cooking.. Just sealed everything tight together and by using a skewer stick or kitchen strings will do your cooking a lot more easier..
  4. Next, coat the chicken rolled with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.. Make sure every part of it is properly coated with the crumbs! This process is called "breading".. Keep the coated chicken chill in freezer for at least 10-15 minutes..
  5. Finally, heat up the oil to a hot temperature and deep fry the chicken roll.. If you are planning to pan-fry, make sure to use fairly enough oil and fry every part of the chicken for at least 2-3minutes on each side.. Last step is to take the fried chicken roll into the oven or microwave to cook for another 3minutes..
  6. Cut into pieces and enjoy the flowing cheese from the inside.. Enjoy!=)
Note: This recipe serves for 5 person and its an ideal choice for party and especially man who craves for cheesy meal..=p
